My name is Samuel Hudgins and grew up in Houston, Texas. I can remember it clearly… I was a young boy and my older brother had brought home a used IBM machine, a monstrosity to say the least (at least nowadays it would be). Since that moment, I have always wanted to work with computers. I was fascinated with every aspect of them whether it was building them, creating them or just playing games on them. In high school, I started doing design work with Photoshop and 3dsMax and I taught myself for a number of years.
After high school, I went to serve a full-time mission for my church speaking Spanish for two years in Provo, Utah. When my mission was finished, I returned to my family who lived in Boise, Idaho. I continued to teach myself more design techniques and did some freelance work. Then I decided to move to Denver, Colorado where I attended Westwood College, met my wife and had our beautiful baby girl. I worked in computer retail and worked my way up to management to pay my way through college. Within that time I was able to customize and assemble my own computer and several other computers for friends and family. I graduated in May of 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science with an emphasis in Video Game Design.
After graduation, I started a design studio (Zubian Studios) with some friends from school. We were doing all kinds of design work. We did web design, book covers, iPhone games, t-shirts, jerseys, and anything else we could get our eager hands on. Unfortunately, due to hard financial times we had to close our doors.
As to the question who am I? I am a skilled and motivated individual who is always looking for a new challenge. I am a leader at heart and can take any situation and do my best to make it work. I believe that my greatest strength is my ability to problem solve.
When it comes down to the nitty-gritty, I enjoy creating art and design with a computer and I do it very well. I look forward to the future with it’s new technology and endless possibilities of what could be created!
